The NexJ Universal Health Connector is a modern, model-driven engineering-based solution that is designed to flexibly integrate health information from disparate legacy and proprietary health information systems using standard message and document formats, and terminologies.
As part of NexJ Health Exchange, the Universal Health Connector provides several pre-built adapters to facilitate interoperability between systems including:
- IHE Profile Adapter, which supports the exchange information according to IHE Profiles.
- NHIN Connect Adapter, which enables organizations or regions to connect health information systems to the U.S. National Health Information Network (NHIN) through the NHIN Connect Gateway.
