NexJ Systems, York University, Research In Motion, and Rogers Wireless have collaborated on a pilot study assessing the benefits of employing a mobile health solution for addressing wellness. Two groups of 30 middle‐aged women suffering from Type 2 diabetes will work remotely with a health coach using BlackBerry® devices connected to the NexJ Health Coach application. The study is expected to allow them to successfully execute their wellness plan and report on their mood, nutrition, and exercise.
