NexJ’s Training organization is responsible for the development and delivery of functional, technical and industry training on NexJ’s solutions to our customers, partners and employees to help ensure their success with NexJ’s solutions. As the Training Manager you will have the opportunity to formulate the strategy, and develop and execute the plan for customer, partner and employee development training.

Accountabilities: As the Training Manager you will manage NexJ’s training resources and work closely with senior management, product line owners and other stakeholders to:

  • Develop and deliver a revenue generating training curriculum for customers and partners
  • Develop and deliver a training curriculum for new hire orientation and on-going employee development that aligns with NexJ’s 4 pillars and 4 areas of training focus
  • Incorporate a variety of delivery approaches (classroom, e-learning and on-the-job)
  • Work with Product Marketing to ensure position value add and ensure consistent messaging and branding of training content on the corporate website, training collateral and sales tools
  • Manage the development of training materials (manuals, documentation, workbooks, re-enforcement tools, multimedia and visual aids, and other educational material)
  • Manage the development of testing and evaluation procedures to measure the success of learning objectives
  • Define training policies and pricing
  • Forecast training revenue
  • Manage performance of training resources
  • Continuously evaluate effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Prepare training budget and plan training resource requirements
  • Plan training schedule
  • Deliver training on an as required basis
Position Requirements:  This position requires a collaborative, engaging, focused individual who understands our products and technology and can translate this knowledge into highly effective training materials that clearly communicates value internally and to customers and partners. Key requirements include:
 
  • 8-10 years’ experience building increasingly more complex training programs
  • University Degree in Education, Psychology or Technology
  • Excellent written and oral communicator with demonstrated confidence presenting to customers and senior management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and effectively balance requirements from multiple stakeholders
  • Depth of practical experience developing technical and non-technical training materials including learning objectives, course outlines, course work books, hands-on exercises, collateral and learning aids
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities
  • Customer focused with a high degree of professionalism and acumen for prospect situations
  • Solutions focused with a track record of taking initiative to find the best ideas
  • Willingness and experience working within a flexible and collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity or experience with Financial Services organizations, such as Wealth Management, Life Insurance, P&C Insurance, Investment Banking and Retail Banking would be an asset
Candidates will be working directly with customers and partners may be required to travel (mainly within Canada and to the US) and work at customer / partner sites.
